It looks like this is because your monitors are aligned to their bottom
edges rather than the top. And they're not the same resolution. So
there's a region at the top-left of the desktop not covered by any
monitors. That's not really an excuse, just seems to be the explanation.

If this monitor placement was not intentional then you can fix it in
Settings > Screen Display, and ensure the monitors are aligned by their
top edges.
