What i know and what happened till now: 1. End March: Freezes happened like described in my earlier post 2. 2026-04-07: Updated to mutter ubuntu3 via apt upgrade and re-enabled all plugins, removed all debug packages, reverting envs for log, debugging etc. so it is almost like a pristine installation. 3. 2026-04-07: Freezes happened more frequently than before (at least 3 in about 4 hours or so) 4. 2026-04-08: Investigating if the freeze was the same or a new one, disabled notification via "gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.notifications show-banners false", as a first step to encircle it. 5. 2026-04-09: no new hangs since disabling the notifications, worked >12h with real workload on this machine
So, i cant tell if this is a new error or the same. Next Steps: Re-enable the notifications, wait for it. if it happens again, i'll debug it via ssh. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2146782 Title: GNOME Shell blocks indefinitely in libEGL_nvidia.so.0 during cogl_onscreen_swap_buffers_with_damage() on Wayland To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/2146782/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
