Could you please help test two kernels and compare the behavior?
1. Ubuntu mainline v7.1-rc3:

Please check whether the NVMe hot-swap issue still reproduces there.
2. Our locally built test kernel with the proposed PCI hotplug fix [1].
The goal is to distinguish:
- whether the issue is already fixed by upstream changes present in
v7.1-rc3, or
- whether the test kernel fixed it.
If v7.1-rc3 still reproduces the issue, but the test kernel does not, that
would strongly confirm the proposed fix is addressing the regression.
