I agree with Paride's assessment here. The purge-old-kernels script was never really byobu's responsibility — it crept in historically but doesn't belong in a terminal multiplexer package.
Rather than trying to improve the heuristics (which risks breaking things in new ways), the plan is: 1. Next release: add a deprecation warning to the script directing users to suitable alternatives (e.g. `apt autoremove` or `ubuntu-kernel-cleaner`). 2. Following release: remove the script entirely. Keeping this open to track that work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2076983 Title: Fix for purge-old-kernels scripts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/byobu/+bug/2076983/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
