Description:
On linux (Wayland) - issue arises on multiple OS's including POP!_OS, Ubuntu,
and CachyOS.

I have a large document approx 350,000 words. 130+ images. 150+ cross
references and about 850 citations. Document is password protected. When I
open the document it takes time to process. I can tell when processing is
complete as it will show the correct total pages number (approx 800). The
issue also arises when saving the document. If while loading/saving I move the
mouse over the actual document pane or use the mouse wheel to scroll the
document, the document crashes. Jumping on top shows soffice continues to run
for a while then terminates (assume it is creating a crash recovery file or
something).
This is repeatable on my laptop as well as my heavy-duty machine. The memory
is no where near maxed out, nor are the CPUs or hard disks. So it is not a
bottlneck issue. Rather it seems that any graphical interface interaction with
the mouse pointer triggers a crash. At present the work around is to use
CTRL+s to save and make sure the mouse is not touched at all, including on
other applications while I'm waiting for the file to save or load.
Note it can take about 15 -30 seconds for a file save to complete (5 min + on
laptop) hence why this is becoming an issue. It is also triggered by
background auto-saves which is really painful as there is no way of knowing it
is doing one till it is too late and crash. Crashes often result in losing
significant data. I have encountered this on flatpak and on the LibreOffice
download version.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create large complex document
2.Open it or save it.
3.Move the mouse over the document while saving or loading.
4.bang!

Actual Results:
GUI disappears.
soffice still running according to top for approx 20 seconds.
crash recovery attempt when reopen writer, usually with data loss.

Expected Results:
You should be able to use the mouse and carry on working on other applications
while loading or saving a big writer document. Perhaps grey out the window to
make it clear it is busy (when loading). The progress bar on saving is
misleading. The bar finishes but there is often more processing before it is
"Safe" to proceed. I use the removal of the red dot on the disk icon to mean
it is now safe to proceed.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Overall libreoffice is awesome. Keep up the great work! - Thanks

In case it is relevant the citations are stored in the document and not
in a citation database.
