2a) Aforementioned is in the context of the WHENCE file: All files in
the section before the 'License: See LICENSE.mediatek for detials' line.
This is historically from the days when the license texts themselves
were part of the WHENCE file, before they were factored out into
separate license files.

FWIW debian/firmware-nonfree has this:

Files: mediatek/*
Copyright: MediaTek Inc.
License: binary-redist-MediaTek

With the same wording for the license.

2b) Ah rats, that should now be https://gitlab.com/kernel-
firmware/linux-firmware.git for all packages :-(

2c) Yes, d/WHENCE lists files that are not packaged (or packaged in a
different package). That's unfortunate but expected.
