Just a remark, this bug affects both the ARM64 and X86_64 latest iso for Desktop installation, which basically seems to mean they are broken, very annoying for new users.
A workaround I used is to use the server image and then install ubuntu- desktop afterwards. Can anyone make the Desktop iso build team aware of this ? may result in a lot of lost time and users. Assuming the server installation uses the same kernel, there is likely another work around that can be used to prevent the bug from occuring. I am happy to test the above kernel if anyone has a link to a desktop installer iso image to test it.
