While we ware at it, may I suggest package descriptions that aid the user a bit more in figuring out whether or not they may need a particular, carved out firmware package? "This package provides firmware used by Linux kernel drivers prestera." does not really tell me much of anything at least. This obviously does not need and should not block the resolution of this ticket but maybe somebody who actually knows what all these different pieces of hardware do can add a bit more information to the package description?
And, after successful conclusion of a test upgrade from noble to resolute in a VM, I now conclude this verification as done for noble. ** Tags removed: verification-needed-noble ** Tags added: verification-done-noble -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958518 Title: Split linux-firmware into multiple packages To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1958518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
