Please grant a Feature Freeze Exception to update magnum-capi-helm from
1.2.0-3 to 1.4.0-0ubuntu1 in Ubuntu 26.10 (Stonking).
magnum-capi-helm is the OpenStack Magnum driver that provisions Kubernetes
clusters via Cluster API and Helm. Stonking targets OpenStack 2026.2
Hibiscus (magnum 22.0.0 is in stonking-proposed). The version in the
archive, 1.2.0 (October 2024), is significantly older.
Upstream 1.3.0 and 1.4.0 were released on 2025-07-31 and 2026-06-09
respectively. The update was prepared as part of the Hibiscus alignment
effort but was not uploaded before Feature Freeze on 20 August.
This update also repairs the package's own autopkgtest in Stonking.
magnum-capi-helm 1.2.0-3 currently fails three unit tests
(test_get_capi_cluster_found, test_get_kubeadm_control_plane_found,
test_get_machine_deployment_found) because requests 2.34 makes
Session.get() pass params=None explicitly; 1.4.0 contains the upstream
fix ("Fix tests due to upgrade of requests 2.34+"). The failure currently
blocks the migration of pbr, oslo.log and oslo.utils.
