Public bug reported:

I have a share with msdfs enabled and a directory path which contains
symlinks of the form:

some_name -> 'msdfs:some.server\path'

If I access the share from Windows or Linux using smbclient the DFS path
"some_name" is not shown, although if I cd through it then it does work.
So this is a problem with listing them, as opposed to them working.

I'm migrating from Ubuntu 22.04 where this worked to 24.04 where this is
not working. Some searching showed this issue upstream:

https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2024-June/248953.html

From this it appears that this is a regression in Samba 4.19, which is
the version in Ubuntu 24.04. It is resolved in future versions, so 26.04
should be fine, and it also works in the older version on 22.04.

It doesn't seem worth repeating my logs since it's detailed well in that
email.

I've attached a minimal patch to work around this issue, although a
better solution may exist. Assuming the Samba 4.19 version is fixed for
the lifetime of Ubuntu 24.04, a minimal fix like this would seem like a
reasonable way forward if updating to 4.20 isn't an option.
