The issue is intermittent: it went away for a while and came back on 7.0.0-38 without any changes on my side.
Additional findings: - The Samsung reverted to 74.97 Hz by itself, even though 60 Hz was saved in the display settings. - Changing it to 60 Hz does NOT fix the stripe. - The trigger is the second monitor (Philips, DP->HDMI cable) being connected but unplugged from power. Powering it on makes the stripe go away. - None of this happens on 7.0.0-34. Attached: dmesg and xrandr --verbose captured on 7.0.0-38 while the stripe was visible, the same from 7.0.0-34 (issue not present), and lspci output. ** Attachment added: "bug-amdgpu.tar.gz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-7.0/+bug/2169193/+attachment/6004605/+files/bug-amdgpu.tar.gz ** Changed in: linux-hwe-7.0 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169193 Title: amdgpu regression 7.0.0-34 -> 7.0.0-38 (HWE): flickering stripe and wrong default refresh rate on RX 7600 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-7.0/+bug/2169193/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
