Fix sent upstream to the Ceph maintainers and ceph-devel: "[PATCH] ceph: drop local lock records on unlock when the inode is shut down" https://patch.msgid.link/[email protected]
Reproduced in an arm64 VM on 7.0.0-38-generic with a single-node Ceph 19.2.3 cluster: after umount -f, unlocks return ESTALE without dropping the lock record, close logs "Leaked FLOCK/POSIX lock", the records stay in /proc/locks, and reading it oopses in lock_get_status (KASAN: slab- use-after-free on the freed struct file). With the patch none of that happens. It only touches fs/ceph/locks.c, carries Fixes: 5d6451b1489a (v5.16) and Cc: stable, and applies to 7.0.0-38 as is. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2172041 Title: ceph: after a blocklisted client's unmount leaves "Busy inodes", reading /proc/locks oopses in lock_get_status To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2172041/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
