This bug was fixed in the package plocate - 1.1.25-1ubuntu1
---------------
plocate (1.1.25-1ubuntu1) tenacious; urgency=medium
* Merge with Debian unstable (LP: #2171244). Remaining changes:
- Adjust handling of db generation on package install to ensure db
generation even in chroots, print a message before, and ensure db
generation finishes before the postinst returns (Closes: #1153245)
- Adjust dh_systemd handling to match the above
- d/updatedb.conf: Add redfs to PRUNEFS (LP #2137573)
* Drop d/p/locate-add-ignore-spaces-option-to-ignore-word-separ.patch:
Upstream is aware of the desire for accent-insensitive search, but it is
hard to do in a correct and performant way, since the rules are heavily
locale-dependent and updatedb does not know at build time what locale
locate will be run under. He does not consider this mlocate-ported
--ignore-spaces patch to solve enough of this problem to be worth it.
So drop this patch. Users are recommended to do a regular search and
then fixup afterwards with grep if needed.
plocate (1.1.25-1) unstable; urgency=medium
* New upstream release.
