some additional notes related to the driver nvidia: - when booting with AC adapter plugged in the display switches from max. brightness to min. brightness when the bootmessage "Loading Hardware Drivers" is displayed - after waking up from standby (suspend to ram) the brightness is always at max. level (adjustment still not possible) no matter if AC adapter is plugged in
