jhwilliams: on my 965, EXA is on by default with the greedy tweak, video
uses XV with comparable CPU use to prior ubuntu versions.  Everything
works as well or better than it did in gutsy, as far as I can tell.

to those having trouble with dual monitors: I'd like to point out that
the 'Screen Resolution' (in System->Preferences) tool in hardy actually
does a decent job of managing dual screens on xrandr1.2-compliant
drivers like intel, though to get extended mode you still need to add a
'Virtual' line in xorg.conf.
