Then why do you think there are already four bugreports with multiple reporters about this (and forum threads like that: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=776687) People want to be able to turn the effects off and back on without losing their settings. This is what the whole issue is about. I can't believe that it's really that hard to understand (sorry, but it's really frustrating to repeat oneself over and over again). P.S.
