As a workaround, the following instructions makes the internal 3g modem loaded upon boot and available after suspends, hibernations etc:
1. Add "usbserial" to /etc/modules 2. Add "options usbserial vendor=0x413c product=0x8138" to /etc/modprobe.d/options You need to potentially adjust the product option according to the number you have listed in the output of "lsusb". Umtsmon (http://umtsmon.sourceforge.net) can then successfully use the modem to easily establish an internet connection. Note: There was no need to "activate" the modem in Windows. -- Novatel 3G/GPRS card not detected in Gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/128556 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
