I notice that your xorg.conf contains lots of modelines for your monitor. You should no longer need these in Hardy, as Xorg should autodetect the optimum settings for your display. Indeed, from the information you have posted, I am confident that your monitor will be correctly detected without these modelines defined in your Xorg configuration. By default, Hardy ships with a minimal Xorg configuration, and I would like you to try the minimal config.
Could you please run the following in a terminal: sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg This will re-create the default (minimal) xorg.conf file. As you are running the NVIDIA binary drivers, you will still need to add the following line to the 'Device' section of your new xorg.conf: 'Driver "nvidia"' Note that the above line is normally added automatically when you install the drivers using the Restricted Drivers Manager. You only need to add this line manually when the xorg.conf file is recreated in this way. Please let me know how it goes Thanks -- Wrong resolution for LG L1510S monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243786 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
