Okay, I'll try the 4312 with b43 when I get a chance and post the dmesg.
I did notice a problem with the cards I put the SPROM fix on, though.  They 
seem to connect fine, but whenever something tries to access the network, it's 
denied.
I'm attaching part of the syslog from one of those connections.  I notice some 
of the authentication timeouts.  It seemed like both of the cards were getting 
the same IP address, could this be a problem with the network and not the 
driver?  Notice the nptd message at the end when it tries to connect to the 
server.
After disconnecting and reconnecting, it seems fine again...
