I'm going to remove that dialog and use update-notifier instead. The reboot is not really necessary to activate the changes, but restarting the X session is. So, I'd like to show a note using update-notifier with some wording to request the user to relogin.
Something like this: "In order to activate the changes you'll need to restart your session. Please logout and re-login at your earliest convenience." Because English is not my native language, suggestions for rephrasing this sentence are welcome. -- Restart-required alert is jargon-filled and doesn't let you restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/260380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
