I just tried 8.04.1 LTS Hardy Heron and I can see the module in: /lib/modules/2.6.24-19-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/misc/rio500.ko There is no usb device in /dev though, probably as the rio500 setup has not been run. I can no longer find a rio500 package :-( Is there a rio500 package somewhere for 8.04(.1)? I tried enabling the 3rd party repository in Synaptic but I don see anything there. Thanks for looking at this again, I would love to be able to use my Rio with a supported version of Ubuntu!
