Actually, there's that to consider. If you're a user using the default desktop it would make sense to see few items and start simple. If you then have the knowledge to add an application, you would probably want it to show up there, and you might even know how to remove items at will. What I wasn't considering in my earlier conclusion was the fact that Gnome-bt is, of course, not bundled with the default installation. There's no reason to "simplify" things for a user that knows his way around the system and has actually *asked* for that application (and will therefore know what it does when it shows up in the menu); it might even confuse users who expect a menu item, and its presence in the menu sure won't hurt them.
