Further to discussion[1], the Technical Board has followed Ubuntu Developer consensus and changed the way that DMB members are selected by appointing them directly.
The new process for appointing DMB members is documented at: https://canonical-ubuntu-governance-docs.readthedocs-hosted.com/en/latest/policy/dmb-selection-process/ Christian Ehrhardt, Julian Andres Klode and Lena Voytek have been appointed, and Utkarsh Gupta's term has been renewed, under this new process. Simon Chopin, Brian Murray, Simon Quigley and Thomas Ward have stepped down. The Technical Board thanks them for their service as DMB members. The DMB remains one member short.
