As already said by others, indicator-multiload provides the same functionality as the "system monitor" applet. You can install indicator-multiload on Ubuntu 11.04 via backports (hopefully) very soon (bug #793709 [1]). [1] https://launchpad.net/bugs/793709 -- Benjamin Drung Debian & Ubuntu Developer
