My feeling is that syncing from testing served us well for the last LTS, and Debian is not in a freeze which would force unstable to calm down, so I would go again for autosyncing from testing, and letting developers manually sync from unstable at will. Now that this is by and large a self-service, this should work even better than in lucid.
