Hiho, thanks for reaching out. Indeed we (Luis and others helped along the way) got it updated in Kinetic to 4.16 which was some work. Backporting that (4.16) fully to Jammy is against the SRU rules [0] as it would introduce as much regressions as it would help. But the bug you are waiting for is [1] itself which is about backporting just this missing feature to fix boot and not all of 4.16. As far as I'm concerned I considered Mauricio assigned to [1], the bug state also still shows that. Not sure what blocks this, maybe it was getting 4.16 into Kinetic which is done now, maybe something else. Adding Mauricio to this thread to answer.
