Η Groupon ανακοίνωσε πως θα προχωρήσει με διαφορετική ονομασία για το προϊόν της και πως θα αποσύρει τις αιτήσεις της για το όνομα "Gnome". Με τη βοήθεια της κοινότητας που γέμισε σήμερα το διαδίκτυο με άρθρα που εκφράζουν την αντίδρασή τους σε αυτή την πράξη της Groupon, αλλά και δωρεές που έφτασαν συνολικά τα 68.627$, φαίνεται πως αυτή η υπόθεση ανήκει στο παρελθόν. Βέβαια περιμένουμε να δούμε αν υπάρξουν επιπλέον εξελίξεις και σχετική ανακοίνωση από το GNOME Foundation.
