That is sort of the point. I have no wish to use Windows, nor am I particularly interested in encouraging the spread of closed-source software, and standards. In this case, reimplementing the keymap in SCIM encourages the spread of open-source software, but in general I do not like to do things that instead continue propagating closed- source software. In any case, the Hindi keymap should be largely done. Please see my other post on how to install it, and please do let me know of any issues. I will consider extending this to other scripts.
