In Ubuntu, we use Linux swsusp (software suspend) to provide hibernate functionality. This relies on a swap partition which can be detected and accessed from early userspace (initramfs), but I see no reason why it would not be possible to apply to MIDs. What's unclear is whether the power and usage profiles of these devices require hibernation: if standby draw is low enough, it shouldn't be necessary. -- - mdz -- Ubuntu-mobile mailing list Ubuntu-mobile@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-mobile
