We setup a local system to mirror deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ gutsy main restricted universe Now on a fast system you can create an image in about 10mins (some have claimed 4mins, but we haven't had an official olympic race) It stinks to postpone a test or development because building takes so long. It is this sort of problem that plagues large projects like OpenOffice.
