The Shutdown procedure is: - run mysqladmin shutdown, wait 3 seconds (if mysqladmin exists, which on kubuntu isn't true by default as we only install mysql-client-core, not mysql-client) - if server still runs, send SIGTERM to the server, wait another 3 seconds - if server *still* runs, send SIGKILL
this is ofc. only true if the user properly logs out...
