Create a SSH Key

To create a SSH key in a terminal:


$ ssh-keygen -t rsa
You can now find your keys in ~/.ssh/

When I do that the file is in my home directory and there is no ~/.ssh/
directory.

Should I make the ~/.ssh/ and put the file in there?

Is that a related problem?
