I have heard that some Edirols work. I have no direct experience though. | Seriously? Is audio production in Linux just a guaranteed headache? Well, if limit yourself to a laptop and USB/Firewire interface, then you are limiting yourself. If you are further constraining yourself with the limitations of an Asus EeePC, well you can hardly complain. I actually have an EeePC, and even with a gig of RAM, I do not use it for very much as the CPU is not very fast. Asking it to be a synth is kind of silly. For me, I have a 4400+ X2 (939) with an RME 9652 card. Audio production under Linux is a dream for me. Of course YMMV. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHp5DOwRXgH3rKGfMRAvV+AJ9lVoiluNzlSKveNeyy2eHuSPYHJwCghNhw 8R4r8nZqJFdnhaAeaeOTgf0= =A6d3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
