hi list,
have one soundcard installed (steinberg UR22mkII), the system detected
it, but why is it defined as "card1" and not "card0"

Is there a defining-tool elsewhere, which says, a detected soundcard is
card 1 ?

My Question results from this behavior :
I found on wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Soundkarten_konfigurieren/ the following
hint:

with sudo bash
echo options snd_usb_audio index=0 >> /etc/modprobe.d/sound-cards-order

I should get a new order with the corrected order-number=0 after a
restart.
But I cannot get a new entry 0 as a the cardnumber.
Why this ?

The other side is, with Order-Number 1 as the default-card alsa does
not see this interface.

What I have to do here ? If I make the change by hand : change the link
from "card1 -> UR22mkII to card0 -> UR22mkII, it is not stable. Only
for the next call it sees the right card0. The second call makes the
change retrogressive so the old link "card1 -> UR22mkII is active
again.

Hope, anyone of this list has an idea how a solution could be achieved.

Thanks in advance
bye hans
