Thanks for keeping the issue visible. It seems
https://github.com/canonical/ubuntu-desktop-provision/pull/1383 claims
fixing the ubuntu-desktop-provision bug, which should benefit 26.04 if
it's included there. Do you understand if that one helps to some
extent the problem you're describing?

As a translation related sidenote, I'll note that many of the Ubuntu
GNOME extensions remain relatively untranslated after they moved to a
different source package -
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/resolute/+source/gnome-shell-ubuntu-extensions/+translations
. At minimum one could click through adding the existing translations
from the old sources, as they were not copied over automatically.
