Caroline, As the lugmaster for Wolverhampton I recommend locating a local Lug. A Linux User Group is just a bunch of people who get together and talk about linux/life/and more important to you are a wealth of knowledge. There is more than likely someone living relatively local to you who could pin point the problem for you. To find your local lug go here http://www.lug.org.uk/lugs/index.php . Along the top select the group closest to you join up on their mailing list and attend the meetings, most of all have fun learning new stuff about linux.
