I may be wrong, but I thought that's exactly what GPLv2 had done, in the 
by making it's provisions applicable 'under GPLv2 or any future 
revisions' or words to that effect.

(BTW, I'll have a look at your blog about why you aren't a member of 
FSF.  Thanks for the URL, and for your thoughts)
