I feel it was a perfectly reasonable request and have to admit that it
shocks me that we ended up discussing Nazis and WW2 - that said, I am
absolutely sure that Hitler would not have dreamt of top posting, Eva would
have berated him, I am sure, for writing "you're in charge of the wine,
Rudolf" on Hess's invitation to a meal in the Bavarian Alps... he would, of
course, have had to write it on the bottom where it would be logical to do
so.

As for Winston Churchill, he'd have probably been too drunk to write it
anywhere logical... would probably have missed the paper and written it on
the tablecloth instead, then wondering why Lady Astor was chuckling to
herself at the other side of the Commons Canteen.
