Why? Microsoft have lots of money and can pay companies whatever they want to do what Microsoft asks them too. It isn't so hard to grok is it? All these ads that say "PC Vendor X Recommends Winblows Vista Home Premium" etc. Do you *really* think that PC vendor X believes that? Nope. Me neither. But if you were given enough money you'd say pretty much anything... I think though, the interesting thing in all this is that MS are actually having to do it at all. It goes to show just how much pressure they are under. XP is virtually dead. Windows 7 for netbooks will be lobotomised and severely crippled.
