Given that the author is completely upfront about his allegiances, perhaps his frequent references to GNU/Linux are not too unreasonable. And he is doing a 'compare and contrast' review with other operating systems, so maybe you'd expect him to mention OS X and GNU/Linux a lot. Of course, few Windows users, will ever read an article like this, so it won't influence anybody much - they get their computers from PC World with Windows already installed. And most Windows users don't ever install Windows, so many of the author's comments - for example, about partitioning, relative ease of installation, and dual booting - are redundant. But compared with a lot of stuff you read from FOSS zealots, I thought this piece was balanced, thoughtful and temperate. mac -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
