I bought my current desktop from ebuyer (emacines) and again it had linspire on it, so replaced with ubuntu (or other linux can't remember now) but it worked fine, it is currently running Mint 17.2 When I next upgrade my hardware my main concern is more to do with the secure boot stuff and if I can just boot a GNU / Linux disk and install normally without too many problems.
