I too am having these very problems on this very configuration. When I try to wake up after a suspend or a hibernate, I get stuck at a screen that has the outline of the login window, without any text. I've tried all manner of key combos, and nothing will let me proceed -- I just have to do a hard shutdown and restart. Looking at the pm-suspend log, it claims that all went smoothly in thawing from hibernate.
My hardware is the same as above - XPS Studio 1640 with ATI Radeon driver. However, unlike many of the reports above, my proprietary driver has already been disabled, and I still can't wake up after a suspend or hibernate. Any more ideas on what I might be able to do to resolve this? I'm sort of stuck dual booting until I can find a way to resolve this. -- ATI Radeon HD 3670 Proprietary FGLRX Drivers break Suspend, Hibernate and major performance issues. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363533 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
