pal, Thanks for the response. I see that these personal packages are not supported by Ubuntu (which is fine and I thank the folks developing in this ppa for their hard work). If this works for folks, that is good. Since I am operational with your prior driver links and my posted script, I prefer to wait for Ubuntu to provide their supported fix. That is, I am waiting for the opportunity to test one (hint, hint Ubuntu)!
