I can see that you have closed this so I am not sure if I should give a comment or not. But I had exactly the same problem with my 8200M attached to a asrock mobo. But after I installed a bios update from asrock the flickering went away when I used nvidia drivers. When I use the non prop driver the flickering have never been present, but then I loose compiz.
