After some more trying I found the following facts: Default kernel is vmlinuz-2.6.38-8-generic-pae, but when I use vmlinuz-2.6.38-8-generic (i. e. without this physical address extension) it works perfectly. Are there boot option which prevent a fglrx crash?
If someone gives me some hints I could try more stuff, since I am not too experienced with kernel fiddling. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747729 Title: fglrx crashes X server on startup _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
