Thank Envel for reporting you findings and the link to the other bug report.
While researching this problem I came across the following Intel Linux Graphics documentation: http://intellinuxgraphics.org/documentation.html My thoughts are that this problem must be solvable, or else why would Intel call this Graphics Processing Unit "High Definition Graphics 3000". ;-) I also recall reading somewhere that the problem did not arise in MS Windows. Can someone with MS Windows test to see if there is video tearing while viewing HD video in Windows? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/755841 Title: [sandybridge] video tearing _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
