Rohit: I played back your evemu-record capture, and it looks like the driver is working fine. I'm going to add a task for xserver-xorg-input- synaptics here. What I really suspect is that you have some sort of misconfiguration of your system causing the issue.
Can you run the following to attach some additional information to the bug? Please do so while the touchpad is not working, i.e. without passing proto=exps to the psmouse driver. Thanks! apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 950469 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: Seth Forshee (sforshee) => (unassigned) ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950469 Title: mouse doesn't work with AlpsPS/2 DualPoint driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/950469/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
