#96 @Manu Removing .Xauthority allows me to log into the 3D unity mode, but none of the compiz effects actually work. (Unlike the guest mode login).
By the way this bug totally screws up cairo-dock in opengl mode. There seems to be no way to turn that off and now the dock doesn't even show.
