Hi all, For those who have not had success with the fix, I just wanted to mention that the following needs to be done to make sure the new driver is being used: - Log into Unity 2D - Enable precise-proposed - Install nvidia-current-updates - In Additional Drivers settings dialog, enable the updated driver by selecting the "version current-updates" line and clicking on Activate - Reboot - Choose Unity from the login prompt
I just thought it might be useful to re-iterate even though most of these have been mentioned before, as I made the mistake of missing out on some at first. Of course, many of you may have done it already and still not succeeded - this is just in case you didn't follow all the steps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982485 Title: [regression] Nvidia 295.40: Unity 3D does not work at all with the new nvidia driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/982485/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
