@ #144, I too lost my faith in Ubuntu. Every upgrade there is a new worse problem. I've tried installing new drivers or new kernels. PC is only usable via Ctrl+Alt+F2. I definitely switched to debian stable since one week. I realized with this bug that stability and ability to work is more important than getting the last fancy things. Bye bye Ubuntu. Thank you anyway to made me switch to linux and open source.
